Safety Supervisor

Oversees safety at solar project sites. Identifies hazards, conducts inspections, and enforces safety policies. Provides training and promotes a safety-focused culture. Collaborates with project teams to ensure compliance with regulations and minimize risks.

Job description

Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Training and Education: Organize and conduct safety training programs for site personnel, emphasizing the importance of adhering to safety protocols.
Inspections: Perform regular inspections of the work site to identify unsafe conditions and practices. Take corrective actions as necessary.
Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures. Coordinate drills to ensure preparedness.
Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes and implementing preventive measures.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents.
Safety Meetings: Conduct regular safety meetings to communicate safety policies, procedures, and best practices.

Job requirements

Diploma or degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field is often preferred. Relevant certifications may be required.
Require Yellow Books.
2-3 years experience.
