Job description

Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labour, and other related costs. This involves analysing project drawings and specifications to calculate the overall cost of the project.
Tendering: Prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities, and invite bids from contractors. Evaluate tender submissions, negotiate contracts, and recommend the selection of suitable contractors for the project.
Cost Control: Monitor project costs throughout the construction process. Identify and address cost variations, advising on potential cost-saving measures without compromising quality and safety standards.
Budgeting: Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring that the project is completed within budgetary constraints. QSs work closely with project managers to control costs and maximize value for money.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice. Keep updated with industry developments and changes in legislation related to construction costs and contracts.

Job requirements

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for negotiating contracts, explaining cost factors to clients, and collaborating with project teams.
Years of Experience : 3 -5 Years.
