Assistant Manager, Account Payable

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Accounts Payable to join our team in the construction and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) industry. The ideal candidate will oversee the accounts payable processes, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and financial reporting. This role is crucial in managing vendor relations, ensuring contract compliance, and supporting the financial team to maintain smooth operations.

Job description

Supervise Accounts Payable Team: Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolve payment discrepancies, and manage payment schedules.
Contract Compliance: Review and ensure invoices meet contract terms, payment schedules, and pricing.
Financial Reporting: Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting, ensuring accurate AP accruals and documentation.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to streamline the accounts payable process.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to tax laws, industry regulations, and corporate policies.

Job requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4-6 years of experience in accounts payable, with 2+ years in a supervisory role, preferably in the construction or EPC industry.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Autocount, etc).
Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
Knowledge of construction project accounting principles and vendor management.
Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint) is a plus.
